Youth & Worship Leader

Location: Converge Life Church, Aldie, Virginia
Position Type: Part-Time, 20 hours per week (12-month contract, with potential for renewal)

Converge Life Church is seeking a passionate and skilled individual to serve as our Youth & Worship Leader. This part-time role involves partnering with the Lead Pastors to nurture spiritual growth among youth (grades 7–12) and lead the congregation in inspiring corporate worship. The ideal candidate demonstrates a love for God and people, with a heart for evangelism, outreach, and missions.

Key Responsibilities

Student Ministries:

• Cultivate a lifestyle of worship, evangelism, and discipleship among students.
• Serve as the primary leader and communicator for the student ministry.
• Plan and lead weekly youth gatherings and special events.
• Recruit, equip, and mentor volunteer leaders for the youth ministry.
• Build relationships with students and address real-world challenges they face.
• Align the student ministry's approach with the mission and vision of Converge Life Church.

Worship Leadership:

• Lead worship services with the ability to sing and play an instrument (guitar or piano preferred).
• Coordinate and oversee the worship team, including musicians, singers, and the sound/media team.
• Plan and lead worship experiences for Sunday services and special events in collaboration with the Lead Pastors.
• Recruit, train, and equip new worship team members and leaders.
• Manage audio/visual technology and ensure smooth execution of worship services.

Qualifications:

• A committed follower of Christ who lives a life of worship publicly and privately.
• Spiritually, emotionally, and relationally healthy.
• A servant-hearted, team-oriented leader aligned with the vision of Converge Life Church.
• 2+ years of youth ministry experience (preferred).
• Agreement with the Constitution and By-Laws of Converge Life Church.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Passionate about reaching and discipling youth with a heart for evangelism.

• Leadership and strategic planning capabilities.
• Proficiency with relevant technology and audio/visual systems.
• Creativity and innovation in ministry approaches.
• Effective multi-tasking and project management skills.
• Ability to inspire and develop volunteers.

General Requirements:

• Reports to the Lead Pastors.
• Fully engaged in the mission and vision of Converge Life Church.
• Energized by non-routine assignments and working within a team.
